It’s a trend.
It’s been a hot topic for a while.
When Blonde bikini first made waves, we weren’t sure if it would have legs or just become a niche trend.
It’s only been a few months since that.
The beauty blogger and social media guru Nikki Glaser recently wrote a post on Medium, saying that Blonde has become a major trend in the beauty industry and Instagrammers are sharing their own photos.
“It’s a pretty cool trend that started with a blogger,” Glaser said.
“It’s definitely a trend that’s been growing in popularity and people are sharing it more.
It really caught the attention of people who were already fans of the trend.”
She added that Instagram has been a huge part of it.
She wrote, “It started with my personal Instagram account, but it’s grown so much since then, and now the popularity of the whole thing is just incredible.
People have been sharing their personal Blonde photos on Instagram and Snapchat, and I’ve seen more than 50 million people have seen my photo.”
While the Blonde trend is spreading, it’s not all good news for Instagrammers.
Glaser said that while she has noticed that people are using Instagram to promote themselves, there is an important distinction to make.
“I feel like there’s an obligation on Instagram to make it safe for the person using the service,” Glasher said.
“It doesn’t matter if it’s an influencer or a celebrity, if the person is using Instagram for a personal purpose, then Instagram needs to make sure that the service is safe.”
She added, “When a celebrity does a photoshoot, Instagram’s social media guidelines say that anyone can post.
But if the photo is about them, then the guidelines say, ‘Don’t post it to Instagram if you don’t want people to see it.'”
Glaser believes Instagram should not be able to dictate who posts their content.
She said, “The way Instagram handles it, it creates an expectation that it is a place where you can share your own personal content, but that doesn’t mean that it’s OK to post it if it is promoting yourself.”
